UPSTREAM INDUSTRY
BDI leverages DVR and allocation to deliver accurate, consistent process data, optimize production, and maximize efficiency in Upstream operations.
In the Upstream industry, operators face highly complex processes, dynamic production conditions, and stringent safety, regulatory, and efficiency requirements. Accurate and reliable process data is critical not only to monitor day-to-day operations but also to make strategic decisions that maximize production, optimize resources, and minimize risks.
BDI applies advanced Data Validation and Reconciliation (DVR) technology, including allocation methods, to ensure that measured and calculated data are consistent, accurate, and fully traceable. Allocation allows operators to precisely attribute production to individual wells, fields, or reservoirs, providing a clear understanding of performance at every level.
By integrating DVR and allocation, operators can detect anomalies or underperformance early, recalibrate sensors if needed, and generate reconciled data sets that serve as the foundation for operational excellence. The result is improved production efficiency, better decision-making, enhanced resource utilization, reduced downtime, and ultimately significant financial gains, all while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.
A software that makes the difference
VALIUpstream© BY BDI
ValiUpstream brings you an online digital oil field solution. Our software VALI will help you to determine the flow rates of your wells without investment in additional sensors or hardware. In Upstream, VALI can be used in different ways.
VIRTUAL FLOW METERING
Our acknowledge Virtual Flow Metering and Sensors Monitoring solution providing high accuracy value with reduced uncertainty for unmeasured data (e.g. oil, gas and water flow at subsea level) or failing sensors but also the evolution in time of specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) together with their uncertainty for equipment.
BACK ALLOCATION
Based on closed Energy & Mass balances, where all mass, energy, performance and user’s constraints are fulfilled throughout the entire network VALI as Back Allocation tool allows the allocation of oil, gas and water flow rates to the well, the automatic detection of losses, water and/or gas breakthrough and on-site problems.
