Energy Performance Management Systems implemented in refineries and based on the ValiEnergy module of the VALI software provide a comprehensive solution for monitoring energy performance parameters and KPIs across boilers, furnaces, cogeneration units, and key equipment such as compressors, turbines, pumps, and heat exchangers. Fuel, steam, and utility networks are modeled in detail to ensure accurate and reliable energy analysis.
Discrepancies between produced quantities and process demand are automatically identified and quantified, enabling precise loss monitoring. These systems operate continuously online, delivering reconciled values for both KPIs and instrument measurements. Reconciled results are stored back into the original data historian or other databases and made available through customized automated or manual reports.
To assess the impact of operating conditions on process performance, BDI also provides detailed offline unit models and analytical reports based on the ValiPerformance module. These models can be executed using automatic, manual, or hybrid data inputs. In addition, BDI offers specialized audit services for refineries, including energy performance evaluations, hydrocarbon accounting, and hydrocarbon loss management.
